MUSEO ITALO AMERICANO: Ieri, Oggi e Domani

MUSEO ITALO AMERICANO: YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW

In 1978 the Museo Italo Americano was founded in a small room above Caffè Malvina in San Francisco’s North Beach. Today it is the preeminent Italian American museum in the United States. Our mission in 1978 was very much as it is today – to research, collect, and display works by Italian and Italian-American artists, and to promote educational programs for the appreciation of Italian art and culture. This short video tells the story of the Museo – its past, present and plans for the future.
