Illustrated lecture by Author Kathleen Gonzalez who will present the biographies of Venetian composers Antonia Bembo and Barbara Strozzi, additionally including the histories of poet Veronica Franco, boat racer Maria Boscola, and salonnier Marina Querini Benzon.
Featuring the music of Antonia Bembo, Barbara Strozzi, Antonio Vivaldi, and Gioacchino Rossini, sung by soprano, Ms. Tina Paulson in Italian, Venetian, and French and accompanied by Dr. Gordon Haramaki on harpsichord, Mr. Paul Federighi on bass and Mr. Benjamin Belew on piano.
