Bio: History Professor F. Roy Willis took his B.A. at Cambridge and his Ph.D. at Stanford. He is the author of a study of Italy’s role in the European Union called Italy Chooses Europe. At UC Davis (1964-1995), he taught a popular course on European history, based on a textbook on the History of Western Civilization he had written and many other historical works. After retiring he lectured on cruise ships for twenty-three years throughout the world, on the places, including Sicily, that the passengers would be visiting.
