On May 6 2020, the San Francisco City Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution “recognizing A. P. Giannini on the occasion of his 150th birthday for his substantial contributions to San Francisco history, Italian American culture, and declaring May 6 as A. P. Giannini Day in the City and County of San Francisco.”

The Museo is proud to celebrate this important milestone with a captivating online lecture by Dr.Vince Fausone.

A.P. Giannnini was born in 1870 in San Jose, California and lived and worked until his death in 1949. Despite enormous prejudice against him personally, both because of his Italian heritage and his egalitarian ideas about banking, Giannini’s vision and commitment to California was unparalleled. He not only bankrolled most of the important industries of the state and some of its most important public works, he extended financial support to ordinary folks in a manner never before undertaken by the Banking Community.

Join Dr.Vincent Fausone on Thursday, May 28th from 5:30 to 6:15 PM, on Zoom.
