ONLINE EVENT

Museo Italo Americano and Leonardo Da Vinci Society are proud to co-present the third talk of the series “In Conversation With”, featuring Italian and Italian American painters and their artwork.

On Sunday, May 23 we are hosting Mantova-based painter Adriano Castelli, who will present a series of paintings inspired by Dante’s Divina Commedia. Castelli will also explain how he explores mystical and spiritual themes through the application of light and symbolism.

IN ITALIAN

With the Patronage of Istituto Italiano di Cultura di San Francisco.

BIO: Adriano Castelli was born in Asola, Italy, in the province of Mantova, where he continues to work and live. After a long period dedicated to black and white graphic art, Castelli started to focus on colors by using different media: pencil, pigment, watercolors, pastels, and oil. Through the use of light and symbolism, he explores mystical and spiritual themes. Italian art critic and historian Flavio Caroli described him as a “modern-day Joseph Mallord William Turner”. He has exhibited in Italy, France, Germany, and the United States.
