Trio Pizzicato Performs Songs of Italian Immigrants

Trio Pizzicato returns to the Museo on April 30 to perform folk songs sung by and about
Italian immigrants. These songs express the sadness, longing, and joy of the millions of
Italians who left their homes to re-settle in northern Italy and Europe, and North and
South America. They will also play mandolin and guitar instrumentals that were
composed and played by Italian immigrants to the United States.
The concert will be preceded by a short talk on Italian immigration and the music that
accompanied it.
Trio Pizzicato is Kathy Sherak on mandolin and vocals, Martha Hawthorne on guitar and
vocals, and Bill Foss on mandolin and vocals.
Space is limited
