Tuffo, oil on canvas, 2011, Ester Crocetta

Paintings and wine labels created by renown Abruzzese artist, Ester Crocetta, will be on display at the Museo from Friday through Sunday, November 16-18 from 12:00-4:00 pm as part of Wine Art Abruzzo – a weekend-long celebration of Abruzzese art, food and wine.

The central Italian region of Abruzzo suffered a devastating series of earthquakes in the last decade with extensive damage that caused thousands of people to lose their homes and livelihoods. Wine Art Abruzzo – presented by the Museo Italo Americano, together with Villa Italia Wines, Plasma Collection, SustainAbruzzo.org, SF Italian Athletic Club and Slow Food San Francisco, will celebrate Abruzzo’s resilient spirit through the enjoyment of its traditional food, wines and the art of Abruzzese artist, Ester Crocetta.

Ester Crocetta’s work has captured the attention of National and International Institutions of Art; recently she has exhibited at the World Art Museum in Beijing.

Admission to the exhibit is free. If you would like to join us for the Closing Reception with tastings of Abruzzese wines, Slow Food Presidium cheeses and artisan roasted meats, click here to learn more and purchase tickets.
