Our Art by Artist collection features artwork by Italian and Italian American artists who belong to our Permanent Collection or have exhibited at the Museo Italo Americano. This face mask shows a partial image of the painting Capolinea 19 by Italian painter Giovanni Cerri.
Cerri was born in Milan, where he lives and works. He began exhibiting in 1987 and since then has shown his work in Italy and abroad, in important cities like Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Stuttgart, Copenhagen, Paris, Warsaw, Toronto, Rabat and Shanghai. Always attracted by the urban cityscape, my work has developed along the thematic investigation of industrial archaeology, through my interpretation of disused factories, abandoned neighborhoods and the relics of buildings on the border between the city and outskirts. From 2001 to 2009 he worked on the cycle of “ghost cities”, painting on newspaper, a support that tells of our present-day, like a sort of emerging chronicle of the painting material. In 2011, upon invitation of the curator Vittorio Sgarbi, he exhibited at the Lombardy Stand of the 54th Venice Biennial. In 2019, he exhibited at the Frankfurter Westend Galerie in the show entitled Memoria e Futuro / Erinnerung und Zukunft. A Milano, nell’anno di Leonardo (Memory and Future. Milan in the year of Leonardo), in occasion of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s death. Giovanni is the son of Italian painter Giancarlo Cerri.
Face mask carefully printed on latex-free fabric that comfortably contours to the face. The mask is 100% machine washable and reusable. With environmental consciousness in mind, the fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used.

Expect and allow between 2-8% shrinkage when washed, which you need to plan for in your dimensions.

1. Measure from the bridge of the nose to behind the ear

Care instruction:
Machine washable and completely reusable. Air drys quickly. Wash your mask each time you use it for the best hygiene. These masks last for up to 200 washes and can be machine washed at up to 140°F to keep your mask hygienic. Please avoid tumble drying to ensure the highest long-lasting quality.
