Professor F. Roy Willis presents Sicily, Triumphing Over The Invaders

The story of how the beauty and riches of Sicily invited constant invasion, from the Carthaginians to the Spanish, and of how it suffered from, occasionally profited from, and usually ejected its invaders

Bio: History Professor F. Roy Willis took his B.A. at Cambridge and his Ph.D. at Stanford. He is the author of a study of Italy’s role in the European Union called Italy Chooses Europe. At UC Davis (1964-1995), he taught a popular course on European history, based on a textbook on the  History of Western Civilization he had written and many other historical works. After retiring he lectured  on cruise ships for twenty-three years throughout the world, on the places,, including Sicily, that the passengers would be visiting.
