Vito Fabbrizio, importer of fine Italian wines and owner of Aemilia Imports, will hold a presentation on the rich history of Roman wine production, commerce, and evolution, with a focus on the origin and diffusion of the vine in Europe.
He will discuss how some of the Italian wine varieties were brought to Italy from Greece, and how DNA testing exposed the strong connection between Caesar and wines from Emilia.
The presentation will be followed by a guided tasting of Italian wine and light refreshments.
