Alan Shepp (whose family name was changed from Sieppe) was born in Cleveland to Italian American parents originally from Campobasso, the capital city of the Molise region. Shepp lives in Napa, California, and is a multimedia artist who creates large scale sculpture and public art. Movement and light have been important elements in his artwork throughout his career, and no less so, when he decided in the mid-1970s to focus his creativity on sculpture in stone. The range of his work begs to be explored and appreciated in this delightful read.
